If you are an Android developer, you might be familiar with the excellent ACRA library which allows you to receive your Apps crash reports into your Google Docs account as a spreadsheet. The only problem is Google Docs Spreadsheets fail catastrophically once they get to a certain size, you cant open them therefore you cant reduce their size, you cant download or export them. And if you choose to delete them then you will lose the connection between the App and the spreadsheet thus loosing any future crash reports (the spreadsheet and the app are linked by a form key imbedded in the App and unique on Google Docs).

Where does MyBackup Pro store the backup?

Recently I had to go through backing up and restoring my Android phone, I chose MyBackUp Pro (Root)to do this. I backed up to SD(Memory Card) Copied the entire contents of the SD to my PC Then I reset everything on the phone including formatting the SD card Only when it came time to restore I found I didn’t know exactly in which folder MyBackup Pro stores its backups.

Earlier today Apple had their iPad 2 launch event, at around the same time we started noticing problems with the Disqus powered commenting system on one of our websites, checking with the Disqus service status website at http://status.disqus.com/ confirmed that the “embed” system was down and out. So I finally decided to invest in an online backup service. What an online backup service does is copy your local files to its own servers, then if your hard drive crashes, your laptop gets stolen or gets washed away in a Tsunami you are secure in the knowledge that your irreplaceable files can be restored with a few clicks of a mouse. What to backup? This will of course vary from person to person, here are some suggestions.
